Head bobbing means different things depending on speed and context
A fast, sharp head bob is typically a dominance display, most often from males, sometimes directed at a reflection or another dragon. A slower head bob can appear during courtship. Neither is usually cause for concern, but persistent stress-related bobbing paired with a dark beard and glass-surfing is worth a husbandry check.

The dark, puffed-out throat that gives this species its name can signal several different things: feeling threatened, asserting dominance over another dragon, stress from handling, or simple excitement around feeding time.
