Gargoyle and crested geckos share similar housing needs but differ in tail and toe pads

Both are arboreal, humidity-loving New Caledonian geckos with similar temperature and enclosure requirements. Crested geckos have sticky toe pads and cannot regrow a lost tail; gargoyle geckos lack sticky toe pads but can regrow theirs.
