Gargoyle geckos shed every few weeks when young and roughly every four to eight weeks as adults. Consistent ambient humidity is the key to a clean shed, not a single humid hide.

What to expect
Skin turns dull before a shed, and the gecko often eats the shed skin afterward, which is normal.
Retained shed
