Isopods and springtails are the standard bioactive clean-up crew for gargoyle enclosures

These small invertebrates break down waste and leftover food in a bioactive setup, reducing (but not eliminating) the need for manual spot-cleaning. They need their own hide-and-moisture pockets to establish before a gecko is introduced.
