African Fat-Tailed Gecko Shedding Guide
Quick answer
Fat-tails shed every few weeks when young and every four to eight weeks as adults. A damp humid hide is the key to a clean shed. Check the toes, eye caps, and tail tip after every shed.

What to expect
The skin turns dull, the gecko spends more time in the humid hide, and it often eats less. It will usually eat the shed skin.
Retained shed
