Melanistic (Black Pearl / Black Velvet) Leopard Gecko
An umbrella term for lines bred toward extreme dark, near-black colouration — including Black Pearl and Black Velvet. Unlike single-gene morphs, melanism in leopard geckos is not yet understood as a simple inheritable trait, so results vary between lines and generations.
