Do Gargoyle Geckos Need a Heat Source?
Quick answer
Most homes need no supplemental heat at all, since normal indoor room temperature (roughly 68-78°F) already suits a gargoyle gecko. Only add heat, always on a thermostat, if a room regularly runs below the mid-60s°F overnight.

When heat is unnecessary
A basking lamp or hot spot is not part of standard gargoyle gecko care the way it is for a diurnal, sun-basking lizard.
If a room runs cold
A low-wattage heat mat on the side or back of the enclosure, controlled by a thermostat, is a safer choice than an overhead heat lamp that dries the air and risks overheating.
Never unregulated heat
